Today during genius hour I was researching punctuation. I was searching for how I use semi colons but I came across a phrase I din't know. Independent clause. I researched what that meant and found that independent clauses are words that are a subject and a verb and they come together to form a simple sentence. I also found out that dependent clauses are some words that fallow the independent clause to make it a complex sentence. Here's an example with the independent clause bold and the dependent clause regular
I like coconut macaroons even though I dislike coconuts.
