Today during Genius Hour we finally finished the interview video after three weeks of filming and re filming. Although we are having a bit trouble uploading. But for the most part, I feel accomplished. Next week, if we don't come up with any experiments, we will most likely end up trying to figure out how to upload the fake snow experiment. So now we finally have an update video, and a fake snow video ready to upload.
Today during genius hour we finished the update video, but Michael wasn't here today so we had improvise. In the video we interviewed Chris, and Michael, to explain that they would be working with us. We laughed historically during the filming of the video, and although we had lots of fun, we wasted a lot of time re-filming.
We planned to upload the fake snow experiment, but we ended up not having enough time. Next week we will most likely upload it, because we have nothing planned. During round 3 my friends and I stuck with Ultimate Science, and accomplished a lot. But I think way we all kept doing Ultimate science because it's really fun during filming, and because the outcome of each experiment we do is really fun. Our basic process has stayed the same: Think of an experiment, get the materials, film the experiment, and then posting it to YouTube. I really tried to be independent during this project, and I think we accomplished that goal.
Our end goal was teaching our viewers on YouTube how to do the experiments, and hopefully we reached that goal. I am really happy that we only had negative results once during the round. The main problems we faced was getting all the materials, and getting everything done in a hour. Next round we will hopefully plan more ahead of time. And next round we plan on the next season of Ultimate Science. Today during Genius Hour, we were able to post a video, and we have a new member of our production. His name is Michael and he will mostly help us with coming up with experiments, and be in our videos. We also made an update video, but instead of using an iPad like usual, we used a Chromebook. In the update video we introduced, Chris who made an appearance in our egg in white vinegar video, and Micheal, who has yet to be in one of our videos. We still have to edit, and upload the update video. Next time we have Genius Hour, we plan on doing a collaboration with diyGeniusTime7, and making "elephant toothpaste". So be sure to watch that when it comes out.
To see our channel click here Today we learned that we don't really want to do skits anymore. Mostly because we focusing more on the skits, than the actual experiments themselves. Next week we will start filming our Easter special. In the video we will make egg crystal geodes. We also thought we could do a collaboration with another group named diyGeniusTime7 sometime in the near future.

To do the rubber egg experiment all you need is some sort of container, an egg, and white vinegar. We also did a skit for the Beginning and end for the fake snow video. Chase also came in to blog about what we were doing, so be sure to read his blog.

We also started filming the skit we are using. Its far from being done, but we made progress. We will most likely finish it next week on Friday. This is the first video we have used sound effects in, so this is exciting.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6QBtFXzCHF-ZUp1cHgtZTZFekE My name is Connor, and I am the co-host of Ultimate Science, the show where we test popular experiments and see if they work. If you don’t already know, Genius Hour is an hour every Friday where you get to work on your passion. I chose this project because I thought it would be really fun to see the different outcomes of all the different types of experiments. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to see what I can do scientifically. At the start of the project I sort of doubted that this whole thing would work out, but after talking to Max (the camera man) and Nick (the other co-host) we found that this was possible. Our first project was bending water with static, and after learning how to edit using iMovie, we were successful with the experiment, and making a video.
Our steps to completing the experiments have stayed basically the same since we’ve begun our project. First we start with picking out the experiment we want to do, next we decide who’s bringing what, then we plan out what we're going to say, and start filming the experiment, and lastly we edit the video. One of our goals for this project was to be as independent,as possible, so we didn’t really have any help, except the internet. Our end product is all the videos, and experiments that we’ve done so far, that are up on YouTube. So far, our most viewed video has over 70 views! We’ve only had 2 negative results on our experiments, with making quicksand, and the unbreakable egg. But other than that, Nick, Max, and I have been successful in most of our experiments. We plan on putting little skits in the beginning of our future videos. And lastly we plan on doing Ultimate Science again in the next round of Genius Hour, with hopefully bigger and better experiments. I'm really looking forward to going to junior high next year, and I really enjoy Genius Hour. I'm looking forward to 2016, and hope this will be a great year. I'm really interested in science, and my whole Genius Hour project is testing science experiments to see if they work. The show I co-host is titled Ultimate Science, and its one of the highlights of my week.
