I just finished my round three genius hour project. As you probably know my project was making polymer clay projects.
I chose this project because I've been interested in making clay things for a while now. I first found the interest in making clay things two years ago when I was at a craft show. At the beginning of making clay things at school for genius hour I pretty much did what I was doing at the end. Throughout all of round three I made different clay things. I made all different things. For instance, Superman, a shoe, but it seems that I took to making monsters the most.
I didn't seek any support.
At the end I had a lot of different clay projects. Even though I've been making clay things at home for a while now, I enjoyed making them at school for genius hour. I ended making my project by finishing some of the projects that I started.
I shared my project with other people by blogging about it, showing it to them in person, and, showing pictures.
I had almost all success, and one failure. My one failure was when I was making a shoe. I couldn't get the shapes right and when I finally did the whole thing fell apart. All of the monsters that I made turned out just as I wanted them to, and some better.
I only faced one problem.
I don't think I would do anything differently. I was happy with how everything turned out.
I will be sticking with clay for round four, but I wont just be doing clay I'm going to add some other things to it. For instance, I may be doing things like play dough, slime and stress balls also.
