today I worked on presenting my presentation to the 5th graders I had a slide show and I put my pictures from when I started to where we are know.
my genius hour project for the 3rd quarter was building a fully running car. I chose this project because I love building things and I wanted to do something that will last me throughout the 3rd quarter and into the 4th. My first step when I was starting my project was to search up directions and when we found some directions we started building. we started with the wheels and worked my way up to the gopigo and got to the motor that runs it. My mom and dad helped me by giving me motivation and ask me what were doing and are you up to speed? I sent pictures from the very beginning to the end that I got pictures and finished my robot. one of the important problems that I had with it was we searched up a base kit gopigo and we have the full kit. What I learned from that problem was that I could always search up more help from the internet. I could search up the right robot kind instead of trying to do it by ourselves with little direction I am thinking about doing the same thing and moving forward on it by controlling it. Today I started building the wheels on the robot and motor for the wheels. We resumed the progress we did the week before and put the real motor that runs the robot. We now need batteries and a controller to make it move. Today I researched on how to program the robot and the cost of a SD card and what it should look like. We found out that a SD card costs 14.99$ and we are going to use a PS 3 controller. Next genius hour we hopefully will be building the robot next week and we will have the SD card
Today I watched a video on how to install an operating system image It was for the raspbian for robots video. http://www.dexterindustries.com/howto/install-raspbian-for-robots-image-on-an-sd-card/
I also researched on how to get started on our robot http://www.dexterindustries.com/gopigo-tutorials-documentation/ http://www.dexterindustries.com/gopigo-tutorials-documentation/ Hi, I'm so excited to show you my genius hour project. I can't wait for you too see my card sculptures.I worked so hard on it. But most of all I love this website because you can share everything about your genius hour. I can't wait to show you!
