Genius Hour update!
My genius hour project was photography. I chose this because I always see really cool Tumblr pictures on the internet and I thought that it would be cool to recreate them myself. I also chose this because I want to make other people happy with my pictures.
In the beginning I was confident on my project. I thought it was going to be kind of easy for my first genius hour project. First I researched on what things people liked. Secondly, I took some pictures outside ( Basketball court, Swings, etc.). Third, I found pictures on the internet that I thought would go good in the theme of the collage I was making. Fourth, I cut out the pictures and found a poster board that was a subtle color. Lastly, I will get the poster board glue on the pictures.
I got from my friends, family, and most of all Ms. Watz, Mrs. Trabilsy, and Mrs. Sayer who answered all of my ridiculous questions I had.
The end project ( I will have this done by 2/8/16) will be a collage of some of my favorite pictures some from the internet, because I didn’t take enough photos, and some of my pictures, because I wanted to use originality. I am sharing my project with the world by posting my pictures and end project on this blog.
A success that I had in the process of my project was I had a lot of good experiences with photography. Another one of my successes is that I took really good pictures and last I got really good tips on how to take better pictures which helped me a lot and helped my pictures be way more professional.
The biggest problem I had was finding an app that would work for what I need. It took a lot of time and effort. Another problem that I faced was that when we actually started our genius hour the weather was changing into winter which meant it would be hard to take pictures because it would be too cold, but I managed to get in some pretty good pictures.
I wouldn’t change anything too big to my project, but if I were to change something it would be some of the weeks that I didn’t really know what to do. I would want to be more productive during those weeks.
Even though I enjoyed this round’s topic I am most likely going to change my topic. I am thinking that for next Genius Hour I could do something with light coding or some type of coding. I really enjoy coding so I think it will be really really fun to do.
