Soxs or Cubs?

“YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD! YES!” I hear the announcer for the game yell.
“Haha yes we scored!” My mom says with excitement.
Were watching the Soxs game but I’m really not interested because I like the Cubs more. I was with both of my parents, when my Uncle came into the room
“The Sox suck,” he said, once he realized what was on the TV.
“So do the Cubs,” My mom argued.
They go back and forth, until my uncle turned to me
“What about you Big Al? Sox or Cubs,” he asked calling me by my nickname he gave me.
My mom was staring at me like she knew I was going to say Sox, but little did she know that I was going to say Cubs.
“I like the Cubs better,” I state with confidence.
My mom is surprised by this so is my father. I saw my Uncle leave the room which left me in curiosity
“I can't believe my own daughter betrayed me for the Cubs,” My mother pouts.
My Uncle comes out again but with something in his hand.
“I always knew my Big Al would be team Cubbies,” he joked.
He stuck his hand out and opened it to reveal a bracelet
“Here you go Big Al just for you,” he said while handing me the bracelet. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. I took the bracelet from his grasp.
“Thank you Uncle Jason!” I exclaimed with joy
“Your welcome Big Al,” he smiled and left the room. I examined the bracelet. It was threaded to look like a baseball. The colors were blue white and red. What amazed me the most was the little baseball charm dangling from the thread. I put on the bracelet and swirled my wrist watching the charm fling around. I only had the bracelet for so long but I was already in love with it.
“I still can't believe that you like the Cubs,” my mother
“Well at least she is on my side,” my father said and I laughed to myself. I kept on playing with the bracelet, I can't wait to show it off.
