My Genius Hour project was making infinity scarves for friends and family. I choose this project because I LOVE sewing and I wanted to give people gifts.
At the beginning I was wondering if I should bring my sewing machine. I decided i was going to so week 2 after preparation I was sewing! I started with a pink fluffy scarf for my friend. Then I made multiple more. I started to make a website where people could pay for my scarfs and I soon started. I kept trying to finish but I realized I should probably spend most of my time on sewing. It soon became end of round one.
I used fabric and other types of unused scraps of fabric. I did not get any help from anyone but my sewing machine.
My end product was many scarves! A teacher actually asked me to make her two one for her sister and one for her ( Cubs fabric of course)! Of course I also gave out the others for free.
Some problems I faced were running out of thread or fabric. Another thing that scared me at the very beginning I was scared that I would not have anywhere to set up my sewing machine. My website was also a fail.
If I were to do this project again i would make sure i finished that website and I had all of the proper supplies.
For my next Genius hour project I want to do something with gymnastics. I was thinking correcting form in back handsprings (if I’m allowed to even do a back handspring). That is the end I hope you enjoy.
