I really liked doing this project. I learned so much. I think something that challenged me was that I needed to buy things but it was fun. I really hope we can do this again this year so I can do another one of my passions… JEWELRY MAKING!!!! I think another challenge would be that I changed my passion in the middle which I think kinda left me behind. I really hope we can do this again some time this year.
Locked Out
By: Merjaan Ahmad I was so excited I was bouncing up and down. We were going to my cousins new house. When everyone was in the car ready to go the car started to reverse. “Wait, I forgot the medicine,” my dad remembered. Stopping the car and getting out. A little while later my dad came back. “The door won’t open,” my dad said to my mom, a worried look on his face. Everyone tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. My dad got on the phone with the locksmith. I walked into the garage and opened my mom’s car door. We always kept something in her car to eat. I found some Goldfish and walked out of the car. When I walked back outside the phone had left my dad’s ear but my sister was bouncing on her toes practically begging for us to ride our bikes. At first my dad looked a little reluctant but after a lot of convincing he finally said yes as long as we didn't get our clothes dirty. My dad called my uncle(Ayyan’s dad) to come and try to open the door. Even he couldn't open it. I thought I was going to die of boredom!! Until I turned around and saw Palwasha(my cousin and best friend) asking to play outside. When their mom finally says yes we walk into our garage. We keep all seven(me, my brother, my sister, and our cousins) bikes’ in our garage. It’s a lot of bikes! “Come on Palwasha, we’ll probably only get a few minutes to ride if you can’t get your bike out.” After I helped Palwasha get her bike out we finally started riding. The wind howled in my face as I rode down the slope and around in a big loop. I felt like a bird, free flying in the wind. We played cops and robbers, capture the flag, bull run, temple run, and tag. Finally the locksmith came. Stomp, stomp, stomp went his boots as he walked. He wore a green shirt and yellow pants that looked too big for him. Around his pants was a tool belt. He kept taking tools off and putting them back on the belt. It took him about half an hour to open the door. When he got the door open my mom, my brother, my sister, and I all went into the house. I changed since my other clothes were all sweaty. As we were leaving the house my dad gave my mom keys to the house so we wouldn't get locked out ever again. In the state of Michigan there is a law that states " In Port Huron, the speed limit for ambulances is 20 m.p.h." If this law were still enforced today a lot of people would be getting hurt.
How long would it take for the fastest reader in the world to read all the books in the largest library in the world?
What do you do in your free time? I love to read in my free time. My dad and mom wanted me to read more because all I used to do was watch T. V. So I stared to read more and more and more. I would finish books so fast we couldn't buy them because then I would need a new one in a couple of days or hours (depending on how long the books were). My mom decided to get me a Kindle so I could read books and download new ones when I'm done with one book. Now carry my Kindle around everywhere and every free second I get I read. Everyone knows when I'm reading I'm in the zone. Sometimes when I'm reading I just can't put the book down. Go reading!!!!!! :)
